SUMMARY:Worldwork Journalism
DESCRIPTION:3 months / 3 topics / 3 sessions\n\n\n\n\nJoin us in exploring and experimenting with a new form of co-creative/ interactive writing we are calling Worldwork Journalism. It combines the immediacy of worldwork group process with the reflective space of writing\, followed by an invitation to a wider audience to join in. \nStarting point of this process is a virtual session with a globally spread group max of 10 people. We will open a facilitated space for personal sharing\, sorting\, and a group process\, which then flows into individual writing prompts. These prompts will open up the next level of a broader dialogue. They will be posted online where our group can continue unfolding the process. \nThen we will invite others in as readers and/or as co-writers to add to the conversation. We will do this via a ‘free-style journalist/everyday writers’ platform called Substack. This online interactive space will be actively facilitated over a 2 to 5 days period. \nWhat you need to bring:\n\nlove for worldwork\,\na curious mind\,\nlove for experimentation\,\ncommitment over this first period of 3 months.\n\n  \nWe cannot wait to step into this creative\, worldwork endeavor\, meeting people worldwide and co-creating dialogue inside out. SUMMARY:Sharing in a non-sharing world: finding our way back to a liveable world
DESCRIPTION:Presenter: Emmanuel Karisa Baya\nThis session the finale in the ANZPOP Living in an Unliveable World Series. Scholarships available. \nEmmanuel lives in the deep rural coastal province of Kenya in Kilifi County. He is a Process Work Diplomate\, a faculty member with the Deep Democracy Institute\, and a co-developer of DDI East Africa. He is a regenerative farmer\, conflict resolver\, and politician. He and his wife co-founded the Magarini Children’s Centre where 300 orphans\, vulnerable and marginalised children from surrounding communities live\, enjoy life in community\, go to school\, and learn to grow food. Magarini’s Organic Demonstration Farm is a thriving agricultural education centre for local women to develop skills to create their own small businesses and enjoy a vibrant network of community collaborators. \nEmmanuel’s first contact with Processwork was at a garbage bin\, where a small piece of crumpelled and torn newspaper caught his eye. He picked it up\, and there he read a small ad: “Come to a Deep Democracy Institute (DDI) workshop” and a phone number. He got on a bus and rode through the night for more than 24 hours\, to Nairobi\, to a workshop he knew nothing about\, from people he had never met or heard of\, following his dreaming path from a message on a torn up scrap of old newspaper in the garbage. The rest is (a very interesting!!) history which you can read in Emmanuel’s Processwork DDI Diploma thesis “Peace\, Conflict and Politics from the Soil” (2021) here  \nEmmanuel’s title and session will bring this series full circle to the first session with Anton Ermolenko in the midst of war in Kyiv\, Ukraine\, and the question: “Is it possible to make an unliveable world liveable?” \nScroll down on the ANZPOP website here Enjoy these short video clips for more about his life and work and what you can look forward to in his session. SUMMARY:Hunting the hunter: how a childhood dream can be a guiding principle in doing business
DESCRIPTION:Presenter: Anton Ermolenko in Kyiv\, Ukraine\nAnton is a dreamer\, entrepreneur\, and facilitator from Ukraine\, and a Process Work Diplomate. He earned his diploma from the Deep Democracy Institute International where he is a member of the faculty and is also a co-developer of DDI Ukraine. His main passions are building platforms to empower communities\, mountain biking\, and dancing with inner dream figures. \n\n\n\n\nAnton will take us inside his current situation in the midst of war in Ukraine\, which may well look different from how you might think of it from the outside. He shares how the seeds of entrepeneurship were already present in his childhood\, as a compelling theme. Anton frames his relationship to entrepeneurship through the lens of Processwork: He shows how it is present in his earliest childhood memory as an enduring pattern that goes with him throughout his life\, and how his understanding of that pattern is evolving over time. His relationship to business is not only about outer success\, it’s also deeply connected to his “dreaming”: the core in his nature that gives him meaning and joy on his path. Anton’s experiences of wartime put him in a “here and now” mindset which transforms his view of business from being a “someone” with a vision and goals\, to an edgy and creative inner state where having nothing but your experience in the moment\, creates a new and unexpected script and business potentials”.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAnton’s session will include some presentation\, an inner work exercise demonstrate\, a guided inner work and discussion.\n\n\nThis session is part of the Living in an Unliveable World Series\, hosted by ANZPOP \nSESSION: Friday 14th\, April\, 4pm-7pm Brisbane time (find your time here)

SUMMARY:A pluriverse approach for enhanced decolonization initiatives
DESCRIPTION:Presenter: Max Schupbach PhD.\nLEARNING AREAS \n\n\n\n\n\nDeveloping understanding of diverse perspectives and cultures\nExploring the challenges of working with marginalized communities\nDeveloping effective strategies for community engagement\n\n\n\nWhat You’ll Learn\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nUnderstand how to work with multiple view points from a pluralist approach\nAnalyze the challenges of working with radically diverse views of marginalization\, power\, and how to deal with associated challenges\nEvaluate the Pluriverse approach\, including its theoretical underpinnings and practical applications\, and how it can support and enhance various decolonization processes and initiatives.\nApply the Pluriverse approach to personal and professional growth and development\, including inner struggles\, outer paralysis\, and biases.\nEngage in open discussions with others from diverse backgrounds to exchange experiences and knowledge of theory and practice in community life for Process Work\, an awareness-based liberation and regeneration paradigm for individuals and their communities.\n\n\n\nDiscussion\n\n\n\n\nOur Deep Democracy Institute is co-learning with communities in Africa\, South East Asia\, the Middle East\, Europe\, Russia\, Ukraine\, and the United States for the past 15 years. Each of these communities has their own distinct view of what life is\, what is important and what is challenging\, and what kind of change they want\, how learning and  teaching can happen\, what aspect of coaching and inner work can bring joy and wholeness\, etc. In our learning process over the years\, for me personally the most challenging aspect – apart from my own rigidity and the well known continuing unawareness of a slew of biases that plague people like me raised in straight\, yt cultures\, was how to get along with radically diverse views of each community of what constitutes marginalization\, what is the role of power\, and how do we deal with the challenges that come with that.\n\nA few years ago I did find a lot of help for my inner struggles and outer paralysis around this through the Pluriverse approach and friends in their large network. The Pluriverse approach is not an alternative or competing concept to Deep Democracy\, but rather a network and theoretical discussion how various decolonization processes and initiatives can support and enhance each other\, even if one of them might seems contradicting the other. The Pluriverse approach was developed/is being developed by a loose network of activists\, thinkers and practitioners from very different backgrounds focused on various decolonization processes across diverse cultures and communities.\n\nI hope to give a 15 minute introduction with my understanding of some core elements of the approach and maybe 1 or 2 examples of our struggles and learning and how it helped me in on my learning path and work\,  but then the main focus is to have an open discussion where we can learn from each other through exchanging our diverse experiences of the trials and tribulations of theory and practice and community life for Process Work\, in my mind\, an awareness based liberation and regeneration paradigm\, for the individual as well as for the community they live in.
